Summer Camp 2019
June 10 – 14 Clay week- Students will explore clay through hand-building. We will create a variety of projects using pinching, coiling and slab structures.
June 17 – 21 Art about the Ocean – We will learn about artists who have been inspired by the Earth’s oceans and its vast life. We will create paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures.
June 24 – 28 Art of Miami – Explore our city, its rich history and art. We will create artwork based on historical sites throughout the city and county. Sites include The Cape Florida Lighthouse, Freedom Tower, graffiti of Wynwood, the Art Deco style, Everglades and more.
July 1 – 5 Modern Masters Week- Create masterpieces like the modern masters: Picasso, Matisse, Cezanne, Dali, Frida Kahlo, Warhol and many more.
July 8 – 12 Week of Japan- Explore the various arts of Japan through painting, printing, sculpture and pottery.
July 15 -19 Art of the Americas- Learn about the art from ancient cultures of the Incas, Mayan, Aztecs and present day artisans from Central and South America.
