Summer Camp 2020 final


Children ages 6 – up have great fun as they develop their artistic skills at Anhinga Clay Studios! Under the guidance of experienced art teachers, children learn about art throughout history while working with a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, ceramics and mixed media.  Six, one-week sessions are offered during the Summer, held Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Space is limited to only 10 students, so sign up now! All materials are included in price.  Meals are not included.

Due to the Corvid-19 pandemic we are taking precautions and only limiting the camp to 10 students each week. Students must bring and wear their own mask, everyone will have distance between them and all art materials will not be shared.  The studio will be cleaned daily.  We will do our best to keep a healthy and fun learning environment.

Summer Camp 2020

June 8 – 12 Clay Week– Students will explore clay in many ways.  We will create a variety of projects using hand building and throwing.

June 15 – 19: Everglades Week – We will learn about animals and plants of the Everglades. The campers will create paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures of the flora and fauna.

June 22 – 26: Fiber Arts Week – The students will explore a variety of ways to use fiber through weaving, stitching, and dyeing.

June 29 – 3: Clay Week 2 – Students will explore clay in many ways.  We will create a variety of projects using hand building and throwing. Same as the first clay week, but different projects.

July 6 – 10: Word Week – We will explore and create works of art based on artists who have used words in their work.  We will learn about calligraphy, graffiti, pop art, collaging, etc…

July 13 – 17: Bugs, Monsters, Unicorns and Cute Stuff– We will have fun exploring this theme with many art mediums.  We will paint spiders, sculpt baby Yoda’s, print unicorns, and many more fun projects..
