Portfolio Development Class

Drawing, painting, sketchbooks, art techniques, and applications will be emphasized. Students will be engaged in a thorough portfolio development class that will enhance their skills in observation, memory and creativity.
This class meets once a week. Students will draw, paint, sculpt and print. Emphasis placed on drawing mediums: charcoal, pencil, and pen and ink. The students will study traditional and non-traditional subject matter related to fine art and design. They will learn about major artist and art movements throughout art history.

Mondays 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, middle school and high school students auditioning for magnet schools
Wednesdays 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, elementary school students auditioning for magnet schools
Limited to 16 students per class
*If you wish for your child to enhance the breadth of their portfolio, or work on their sketch book assignments we recommend our After School Art Class in conjunction with this class.
All materials are included. Students must purchase their own sketchbook.
Classes are not prorated and no refunds after attending a class. Classes run and are paid on a monthly basis. You may sign up one month at a time, and class starts at the beginning of the month. If you are purchasing using a credit card the Paypal fees for transaction will not be refunded 2.9% +.30. If you pay in cash or check, you get a full refund.
It is highly recommended in order to develop an outstanding portfolio to attend classes starting in September and attending through January.
*All classes are taught by a National Board Certified Teacher in Art Education and Certified by the State of Florida in Art K-12.
